Greg and Angela started Dolphin in 2000, and it’s still a family firm: Greg, Angela and daughter Stephanie still pick up the phones, son-in-law Michael and son Joshua lead the moving teams. We sit at the careful end of the trade, not a man-and-van, not a faceless national. With our family and our trained and uniformed crews, the right logistical planning and cover all in place, our service has a personal touch.

Our expertise lies in larger home moves, specialist packing, storage relocations, long distance removals and our tailored unpacking service. For smaller moves, such as a single item or a studio flat, we’ll always give honest advice. If we’re not the best-value option for your needs, we’ll tell you, because we’d rather earn your trust than oversell our services. Every move also includes a free utility switch: everything from gas and electricity to water, council tax, TV and home insurance, all sorted for you.

How much does a house move cost?

It depends on the size of your home, the distance, how much packing you’d like and access at both ends. That’s why we survey first, by WhatsApp video or in person, and give you a fixed price with no hidden extras.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better, especially for Fridays and month-end, which book up fast. That said, we’ll always try to help at short notice, plenty of our moves are booked with just a few days’ notice.

What happens if my completion date moves?

It happens all the time with chains, and we’re used to it. Keep us posted and we’ll do our best to re-arrange your crew and van around the new date. We also have a safety-net with our optional Cancellation Protection.

Can you move pianos, antiques & specialist items?

Yes. Our trained crews and the right equipment mean we handle everything from pianos to framed pictures with real care, just flag anything special at survey.

Which areas do you cover?

The whole of the North West, Liverpool, Manchester, Cheshire, the Sefton coast and the Wirral, plus long-distance moves anywhere in the country, Europe or internationally.
